Shades of Pornography

Shades of
pornography is a program designed to aid students in years 7 – 10 to understand
what pornography is and its effects. The program explores pornography as an
industry and enables students to recognise pornography as fiction. Students who
participate in this program will gain knowledge of the history of pornography, understand
ways in which the media use sexualised imagery and the difference between
pornography and real life relationships. Shades of
pornography also looks at the addictive nature of modern pornography. The
program uses activities, videos, scenarios and group work tools to engage
students and assit them in grasping key messages.
Audience: Years 7 and 8 / Years 9 and 10
Sessions: 1 x 90-minute session
Enrollment period: 90 days
